This exhibition also aimed to act as an agency for social change, allowing the visitor/viewer to actively make a contribution to the people of New Orleans. By purchasing a reprint of the images , 100% of the money went to Common Ground Relief. Common Ground Relieft provide absent community programmes within the lower ninth ward such as low cost grass cutting for displaced property owners in the Lower 9th Ward to prevent fines and leans assessed by the City of New Orleans. This photographic archive was exhibited on the 4th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina at the Context Gallery (now the 'Centre for Contemporary Art') in Derry in 2009.This exhibition was funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
